Manhole Explosion on 6th Ave between 19th and 20th Street

A huge manhole explosion in front of a Radio Shack on 6th Ave between 19th and 20th Street occurred this morning around 11:30 a.m. According to myfoxny.com, firefighters are currently on site where "the front of as Radio Shaq was smoldering."

So far no injuries have been reported.

Con Edison explains that the explosion happened because of a "fire in the transformer vault." However, the cause of the fire has not yet being determined.
