Palladium has it all. A dining hall with Trader Joe's next door (om nom nom); the Wasserman Center for Career Development (convenient in light of the recession); vending machines and study rooms with wireless access; a gym (where Fergie works on her fitness); and Palladium Unified Government, the hall council that has big bucks to spend on programming and resources, like S'Mac and really baller strobe lights (dire things I have bought as vice president).

You never have to leave, but if you do — oh right, class — you're right in front of Union Square: home of protests, pillow fights and the perfect place to scout the participants of Santa-Con and No Pants Day. The L-train, Chipotle, Barnes and Noble, three Starbucks and a 24-hour Duane Reade are minutes away. Walking on 14th Street can sometimes be a pain, but that is the beauty of the back entrance on 13th Street. Palladium is also close to campus, but if you're lazy, you can just sneak over to Coral across the street and take the NYU trolley instead.

Palladium has nicely sized bedrooms with a kitchen and a big common room (a place to sexile your roommate) with tiled floors and white walls. If they are dirty or have mysterious stains, just think of it as creative space ready to be personalized with lots of posters, tapestries and illegal lighting. Some bathrooms have a perpetually odd smell, so cover up the open drain with a bath mat. Or Febreze so that we can all fe-breathe. Problem solved.

And forget about the days of losing your keys. You get to use your NYU ID to swipe into your room.
