Do you feel NYU lacks a traditional college campus? Then University residence hall is the dorm for you. Located right next to Union Square Park, this dorm will give you the chance to live at the center of NYU student life.
You can go downstairs into U-Hall's spacious lobby to study with fellow students, watch TV or order a delicious veggie wrap courtesy of U-Hall Commons Cafe. If a buffet-style meal is more to your liking, the Palladium dining hall is only a few steps down the block. Are you sick of dorm food? The city's only Trader Joe's (my favorite store in the entire world) is also on the same street as U-Hall.
In addition to its many dining options, U-Hall itself is spacious and well-designed. The bedrooms can feel slightly small because they have a desk for each person, but closet space is more than adequate. The suite also has a large common area and a cute kitchenette so you and your roommates can throw each other dinner parties. My only complaint is the dorm's bathroom, which has a tendency to collect insane amounts of dust while the shower drain consistently clogs. Bathroom aside, U-Hall's location and layout make it a dorm worth living in.
