On Valentine’s Weekend, I visited my hometown of Marblehead, Massachusetts. This winter, Massachusetts saw a record-breaking amount of snowfall, with a cumulative eight feet of snow over three weeks. My parents sent me photos of themselves shoveling piles and piles of snow, and I knew that I had to shoot there.  I wanted to give myself a challenge — I took only a 4×5 inch large format view camera that I rented from Tisch. I wanted to capture the extent to which my town was absolutely buried.
