Threeasfour Spring/Summer 2016

Gabriel Asfour, Angela Donhauser and Adi Gil, the three masterminds behind Threeasfour, continue their brilliant partnership as the fashion house returns with their Spring/Summer 2016 collection. As lights dimmed, onlookers were exposed to a wall of computer-generated, psychedelic textiles and futuristic beats, introducing Threeasfour’s traditional avant-grade style.

The whole atmosphere showed off the label’s beautifully eerie and neutral vibe. The models entered the runway in a slow stride, contradictory to the strut that has trended, with women adorning asymmetrical dresses embroidered with intricate appliqués and cutouts with men carrying minimalistic robes and tees accessorized by sleeveless coats. The asymmetrical patterns were the dominant features in the collection as was seen on both genders.

The addition of organic stylistic choices, which we embodied in the loose fitted, flowing pants and long coats added to the collection’s intrigue. Abstract images of plants and trees were imprinted on the designs, but interestingly enough these earthy vibes paired with the creative choice to use flat, open-toed shoes elevated the collection’s futuristic taste. The Creative Director of Threeasfour mentioned that the geometric shapes and twists he included in the hair and makeup added to the fusion of modernity and nature.

Museums around the world have featured Asfour, Donhauser, and Gil’s designs for their unique take on fashion. Their avant-garde shows and designs have been credited for their success. By the end of the show, the audience gave a standing ovation to the trio, who combined their visions to generate the trendy looks of Threeasfour.
