Exposure | Miami on Film

Anna Letson, Photo Editor

During spring break, I traded the city in for the beach. The heat was a nice break from the unexpected snow that we were getting in New York City. To capture the feel of Miami and change things up from my usual digital photography, I shot a roll of Portra color film. There’s something about film that is very timeless, it alters the colors to become very nostalgic. In the way that analog film takes me back to the basics of photography, going back to nature is very raw and relaxing. This small collection of photos represents the colors that I saw during my vacation and the calm of life by the ocean.
