Crime Log: Nov. 13-17

The NYU Department of Public Safety received five reports of larceny, two reports of controlled substance and one report of criminal mischief between Nov. 13 and Nov. 17.

Criminal Mischief

On Nov. 14 at 9:11 a.m. a Public Safety Officer reported that he observed graffiti inside a bathroom at 20 Cooper Square. 

Controlled Substance

On Nov. 14 at 2:33 p.m. Public Safety Responded to a report of a controlled substance in Third Avenue North Residence Hall and a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia was recovered.

On Nov. 16 at 10:25 p.m. Public Safety responded to a report of a controlled substance at  St. George Clark Hall. A small amount of amphetamine was recovered.

Larceny

On Nov. 14 at 6:15 p.m. a student reported that his bicycle was missing from Schwartz Plaza. A police report was filed.

On Nov. 14 at 2:42 p.m. an employee of the Torch Cub reported that her wallet was missing from her locker in the sub-basement of the club. A police report was filed.

On Nov. 15 at 8:55 p.m. a supervisor at Bern Dibner Library of Science and Technology reported that a computer mouse was missing.

On Nov. 17 at 9:50 p.m. an NYU guest reported that her vest was stolen from a table in the student lounge in Vanderbilt Hall. Police notification was declined but the incident remains under investigation by Public Safety.

On Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. a student reported that his backpack, including his laptop, was stolen from a cubicle in the Vanderbilt Hall library. Police notification was declined but the incident remains under investigation by Public Safety.
