The NYU Hockey team has enjoyed smooth sailing so far this season.

NYU hockey’s Thanksgiving break provides the perfect opportunity to check in on the team’s progress just over a dozen games into the 2016-17 season. Here’s a cross-section of the squad, by the numbers:

12-2: The Violets’ record 14 games into their 25-game regular season.

70: Goals for the Violets.

35: Goals against the Violets.

.940: Freshman goalie Adam Salisbury’s team-leading save percentage.

0: Salisbury and junior goaltender Jack Nebe’s combined losses this season.

12: Sophomore defenseman Connor Finocchio’s team-leading plus/minus.

19: Points each for Violet leaders, junior forward Michael Conslato and sophomore forward Mason Gallegos.

11: Team-leading goal total for Conslato.

16: Team-leading assist total for sophomore forward John Kowalewski.

29: Penalty minutes for Connor Finocchio, the team’s leader.

The Violets play again next weekend in New Hampshire at Keene State College on Saturday, Dec. 3 before heading to Boston to play Northeastern on Sunday, Dec. 4. They make their homecoming appearance at the Sky Rink the following weekend on Friday, Dec. 9 against Marist College for their penultimate game of 2016.
