Mingle with Zac Posen, Anna Wintour and others when fashion's elite come out

Published September 10, 2010

Combine fashion sales with champagne, cupcakes, designer and stars, and you've only just begun to grasp the mind-blowing wonder that is Fashion's Night Out 2010.

Shoppers have spotted Zac Posen moonwalking at Saks. Some who traversed Madison Avenue have witnessed Oscar de la Renta in his store, harmonizing with a salsa band. There's face painting at Mulberry, and a model casting call at Swarovski. There are free hors d'oeuves in SoHo and complimentary makeovers in the Meatpacking District. People are weaving from Bloomingdales to Bendel to Bergdorfs Goodman in a star-struck, sale-thirsty frenzy.

Birthed from the mastermind of Anna Wintour and with the support of Mayor Bloomberg, FNO aims to celebrate fashion while boosting consumer confidence.

So, happy shopping, everyone! And check back here for Washington Square News' wide coverage of the events going on. There might also be some shameless name dropping… but put it this way: if you saw Justin Timberlake in person, would you keep quiet about it?
