Nail polish fit for a queen

Tired of one-dimensional nail polish? Well, check out the Housewives of Tudor England nail polish collection by Rescue Beauty Lounge. I visited the Lounge in Manhattan's Meatpacking District to try out the four new colors ($18 each) released this month and what I found did not disappoint.

Anne is a mysterious olive green that follows this season's military trend. The nail polish truly stands out with its copper, gold, pink and green sparkles. Depending on the lighting, Anne varies from a green to a brownish pewter.

The purple Catherine is a sophisticated color that lives up to the royal collection's name. Elizabeth I would have been proud of this regal aubergine color. Catherine changes from charcoal gray with purple undertones to a deep violet shade.

Jane, Henry VIII's favorite wife, lends her name to the stunning taupe nail polish. This shade doesn't have as much sparkle as the others, but don't write this nail polish off as a Plain Jane. It's a classy beige is a refreshing shade that follows this Fall's neutral camel trend.  It's also a great go-to color that goes with everything.

With its subtle flecks of magenta and turquoise, the blue Catherine H. is a beautiful color that has hints of gray. It's a great choice for a flirty night out and can oomph a monochromatic outfit. Flaunting it will definitely earn you some compliments.

The nail polishes are $18 per bottle, but the colors and durability are well worth it. They last between seven to nine days and do not contain harmful chemicals such as DBP, Formaldehyde and Toluene. As a nail polish aficionado, I definitely recommend these chic shades that are perfect for any event and mood and will be sure to dazzle.
