"This column is meant to chronicle the experiences of an NYU in Prague student."
If chronicling the experiences of an NYU in Prague student means constantly bringing up your travels to and from a mall gym (a mall gym! Jesus!) and the funny looks people give you, I would say you are out of luck on this whole Czech redemption thing. What is this, the third or the fourth time? What do you do all day? Zip up and down the No. 5? Your next column ought to be about metric and US weight conversions. Advice for Czech gyms: Bring your own water and a calculator!
There is actually nothing wrong with being arrogant and self-centered; if you can back it up that is. And since you can't, I suppose that is why your column (and the state of American letters in general) garners so much abuse.
