Often overlooked as one of NYU’s less luxurious dorms, Greenwich Hotel definitely deserves another look. The wood floors and smaller room sizes give the place a much homier feel than the immaculate interiors of Gramercy. The infamous “ventilator gaps” between wall and ceiling can be easily forgotten with the strategic placement of cardboard or wall hangings. The building’s capacity of less than 900 students also adds to the sense of community often lost at NYU.
