Fashion bloggers and models packed into Lincoln Center, all waiting to see what designer Custo Dalmau's new fall Custo Barcelona collection would look like. Inside, Custo lived up to the hype: Wyclef sat front row and attendees were treated to a geometric light show on the bright blue runway before the show started.

The collection mixed fabrics, patterns and a rainbow of colors. Custo even alternated looks between womenswear and menswear. The whole collection seemed like a performance, with few of the outfits technically ready-to-wear.

Heavy wool fringes dominated the collection from head to toe; even knee high boots swayed with thick strands of cloth. One look paired the boots with an outrageous bright orange and purple patchwork jacket and what looked like tie dye leggings. Other looks combined things like high-waisted green and black checkered pants with asymmetric tops.

The menswear was similarly mismatched. In one look, a clean blazer and dress pant were paired with a furry bright tangerine and purple sweater and matching scarf. Custo described his collection as "clean…but not really" with conventional looks having flaired elements.

Custo produced an incredibly fun show. His highly eclectic looks were carefully calculated and when seen together created a collection that really combined art and fashion in a conglomeration of every print, texture, and color imaginable.
