Inspired both by his native Peruvian heritage as well as his current home in North America, Sergio Davila created a beautiful collection of clean and wearable womenswear and menswear. In one collection, Davila created an array of looks, from gaucho to big city fashion.

Although the predominately darker tones of the collection — including midnight blue and classic black — evoked the urban nature of New York, occasional pops of color and rich tones were a reminder of Davila's roots. In a look perfect for battling the New York wind, a model wore a wool, double-breasted peacoat buttoned up to his checkered scarf. The jacket was paired with sweatpants, although the slim fit and white square patches running down the inseam made them much too trendy to be called that. In contrast, the final look in the collection was a pair of silver pants that looked like a metallic version of the pants worn by toreadors, complete with suspenders and fitted midriff.

The collection also contained several suits. Perfect tailoring, warm brown and gray tones, and v-neck sweaters made the suits a refreshingly stylish twist on the classic business man's uniform. The womenswear pieces focused mostly on the outwear. With extremely short shorts and bright purple-blue stockings on bottom, the fur stole the show.

"It is the greatest show I have seen at fashion week, ever" enthused The Veronicas, who were sitting front row at the hip new designer's third collection.
