The Stern School of Business announced yesterday that the school will be adopting an "Asians EZ-Pass" policy, allowing any prospective student of Asian descent automatic entry into the school. Stern dean Frederick Choi said the new policy will help boost the school's rankings.

"Come on, let's face it, we were going to be accepting these students anyway," Choi said. "This just speeds up the process."

Currently Asians make up a substantial percentage of students at Stern, but new projections have that number shooting up to 80 percent. In preparation, the school has already made arrangements to offer a mandatory course in driver safety.

As per the new application, Asian students will be asked to check a box identifying themselves as Asian and provide a letter of recommendation from their guidance counsellor confirming that they are indeed Asian. Those who do not meet the requirement will have to complete the standard, 65-question form.

In addition to the new admissions policy, Stern will set up mandatory nap periods throughout the day to help cut down on the number of NYU appearances on the popular blog Asians Sleeping in the Library.

Recent UCLA transfer Alexandra Wallace posted a response to the new policy on her YouTube page.

"So we know that I'm not the most politically correct person, so don't take this offensively," she said. "The problem is these hordes of Asian people that NYU accepts, which is fine. But if you're going to come to NYU use American manners."

The new policy has also garnered strong rebuke from a number of campus organizations, including NYU's Bronfman Center.

"This is farkakta," Stern junior Saul Rosenberg said. "We're just as naturally good at numbers as anyone else."

High school senior Arthur Lee, who is not Asian but has an Asian-sounding last name, said he just plans to lie on his application.

Taking cues from Stern, both Tisch and Gallatin have instituted similar policies. Beginning next admissions cycle, Tisch will grant automatic entry to men with a strong affinity for Lady Gaga and Glee policy and Gallatin will launch their first annual "Bein' Fluid, Wearin' Plaid" scholarship.
