It is essential that colleges, including NYU, encourage the pursuit of an academic career for all students by nurturing a higher economic mobility rate and an environment where financial differences are undistinctive.
If the university’s goal is to promote innovation and job-creating entrepreneurship in its students, to prepare them for the complexities of the modern workforce, it won’t do so by producing hyper-specialized wonks.
