Inside the brick walled warehouse near the Chelsea pier, impeccably well-dressed men and a few equally well dressed women composed a fashionably eclectic group. As the seats began to fill up, audience members were offered beer to sip on for the duration of the show. Peculiar? Maybe not.

The lights dimmed and the first model walks down the runway, debuting a beard and mustache. He is the spitting image of the show-goers, down to the beer bottle he held in his hand.

Mark McNairy New Amsterdam Spring/Summer ’14 Runway featured camouflage as the pattern of choice. From classic styles to more graphic takes on the traditional, from bomber jackets to slouchy trousers; the print emerged in various forms down the runway. Other prints included mismatched checkers and feminine florals, often juxtaposed alongside each other.

Trendy sunglasses and fedoras served as appropriate accessories for the sporty and playful collection.

Veering away from popular trends, McNairy presented eccentric prints, funky silhouettes, and vibrant colors despite the current general popularity of minimalism.

Spotted in the front row were rapper Pusha T and menswear expert Nick Wooster.
