Name: Gus Constantellis
Hometown: Brooklyn, N.Y.
Year: Tisch senior
Dorm: Commuter
Act: Stand-up comedy

What is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspirations are Julia Louis-Dreyfus and quarts of chocolate ice cream from Baskin Robbins.

How long have you been performing and what made you interested in performing in the first place?
I have been “officially” performing stand up since October 2013, but I feel like I’ve been a storyteller since I was a very young Gus. I was interested in performing stand up because I get very flattered when people tell me I’m funny.

What made you decide to participate in the UVL Prelims?
I wanted to participate in the UVL prelims because it’s my last year in college and I thought, “Why not take a crazy chance?” Yes, that’s taken from a Hilary Duff song.

What was the first thing that went through your mind when you found out you were advancing to the finals at Skirball?
Damn, I hope I don’t offend anybody.

What would winning UVL mean to you?
Winning UVL would mean a lot to me because, as a short, Greek man, I feel under-represented in the stand-up comedy scene.
