Crime Log: Feb. 2-4

The NYU Department of Public Safety received six reports of larceny, one report of harassment, one report of trespass and one report of controlled substance between Feb. 2 and Feb. 4.

Larceny

On Feb. 2 at 12:20 p.m., a student reported that she left her jacket at Kaufman Management Center on Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. and that it was no longer there on Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. Police notification was declined.

On Feb. 2 at 12:50 p.m., a student discovered that his case containing two billiard cues was missing from Tisch Hall. He left it there on Feb. 2 at 12:30 p.m., but denied notification of the police.

On Feb. 3 at 11:17 a.m., an employee reported that cash and products were missing from the vending machine at Weinstein Residence Hall while he was restocking it. Police were notified and a report was filed.

On Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m., a student reported that his wallet was stolen from an unlocked locker at Coles Sports Center at 3 p.m. NYPD notification was declined.

On Feb. 4 at 1:45 p.m., an employee at the Dental Care clinic reported that her iPhone was missing from the dental cart. She left it on the cart at 12 p.m. to help students, but it was missing when she returned at 1 p.m. Police notification was declined.

On Feb. 4 at 2:20 p.m., a student at the Dental Care clinic filed a report about her missing bag which contained her NYU ID and phone. She left it on the hook at 1 p.m., but it was missing when she returned at 1:45 p.m.

Harassment

On Feb. 2 at 12:30 a.m., a student at Gramercy Green reported that another student left him a threatening phone call. The student declined notifying the police.

Trespass

On Feb. 3 at 12:59 p.m., at 10 Astor Place, an administrator reported that an unknown male entered an empty office, and provided a false name and left the building when asked who he was there to see. NYPD was not notified.

Controlled Substance

On Feb. 4 at 10:15 a.m., marijuana was found in Palladium Residence Hall after Public Safety received a report of controlled substance.
