Jay Shin is a Korean tattoo artist at Black Fish Tattoo. He specializes in minimalistic and fine line designs, though he is not limited by it.

Shin became a tattoo artist six years ago after learning how to draw and tattoo from his brother and inspiration, Kevin Jang. Shin says that this is different from most other tattoo artists, who usually start at fine arts schools.

Previously, Shin did a lot of different jobs, but none satisfied him. He is much happier as a tattoo artist. The only part of his job that he does not like is when customers make appointments but don’t show up because it causes him to lose time.

His work is displayed on his Instagram.
