This Monday, NYU Divest dropped off a letter for President Andrew Hamilton and the Board of Trustees, once again asking the university to divest from fossil fuel companies.
NYU President Hamilton sent a letter to SLAM in response to their request to add a student to the board of trustees. Members of the group annotated and analysed the letter to expose what they percieved to be Hamilton’s true message.

Heightened diversity advances the agenda of diversity repeatedly set out by Hamilton upon taking office at the beginning of 2016. This publication has been somewhat critical of Hamilton due to a lack of significant tangible actions to truly advance diversity, but this week’s news is an excellent step in the right direction.
The fight to make NYU a sanctuary campus continued today at a rally at the Kimmel Center for University Life. NYU Sanctuary members read the policy demands and updated the students on their meeting with President Andrew Hamilton.
