Third Avenue North Residence Hall is a first-year residence hall located at 75 Third Ave. It is the largest freshman dorm, with over 900 residents. It is divided into three towers — North, South and East — with the majority of its floors housing apartment-style rooms and a minority being loft floors, located on floors 7-14 in the East Tower. Individual bedrooms tend to be small relative to those of other halls, but unlike most other freshmen residence options, Third North suites and lofts have a common area and a kitchen in addition to a private bathroom.

Third North has multiple amenities — a game room, a silent study room, a TV lounge, a computer lab, a mini-theatre, a dance room, a dining hall, music practice rooms, laundry rooms and an outdoor courtyard.

Though the dorm may not be known for its spirit and community, the surrounding area is lively. AMC Theaters and Webster Hall are located right across from the 11th Street entrance for your movie and concert needs. There is also a plethora of food venues to explore. If that is not satisfactory for residents, Third North is only a 5-10 minute walk from the Union Square subway station for the N, R, L, Q, 4, 5 or 6 trains, for studentsto explore other parts of New York.
